Hermine is headed to the eastern part of our mission, and will likely have impact from Madison to Pensacola. The governor just held a press conference, and there was no new information. We are aware that the storm (currently categorized as a tropical storm but expected to become a Category 1 hurricane by the time it makes land) will likely be hitting in the middle of the night tonight, so we have moved the missionaries away from the coast. It is headed for Tallahassee, which has not been hit by a hurricane in many years. The missionaries have water and food, and gas in their cars, and are safe. We are prepared to simply hunker down for the next 36 hours or so while the storm passes. Afterwards is the issue: often times, trees are knocked down, hampering transportation and taking out power lines. We will make sure the missionaries are safe through all of that, as well.
