Dothan Alabama is the proud host of the National Peanut Festival. It looks a lot like a state fair, but has some wonderful southern touches, like several acres of farm equipment, a guy who creates chainsaw critters from trees, and lots of “bolled” peanuts. This year we rented space for a booth where we talk about Family History, Bible videos and the Book of Mormon. Missionaries love it, and they meet LOTS of people. Not far away, the Dothan stake has a stand where they make fresh “elephant ears” which westerners would recognize as fry bread. It’s a 30+ year old tradition here!
